About the Owner Brandy Jordan
With nearly 20 years of professional experience caring for dogs and cats, I founded Doggy Steps in 2006 to provide pets with something far better than the ordinary. My vision has always been simple: every animal deserves trusted, compassionate, and enriching care in a safe, loving environment.
I am proud to be an ABC Certified Dog Trainer, fully Pet First Aid Certified, and a long-standing member of Pet Sitters International. Over the years, I’ve combined my formal training with hands-on experience to create a wide variety of services that go above and beyond standard pet care.
At Doggy Steps, I offer puppy training classes in Streetsville, Mississauga—helping families raise well-mannered, socialized pups through fun, structured learning. I also provide daily dog walks across Mississauga, yard play sessions in a large, secure yard, and crate-free slumber party boarding (with the option of a personal crate if an owner requests it). Instead of leash-free parks, I believe in safe, controlled, and personalized play to ensure every dog thrives.
Beyond dogs, I am also experienced in specialized cat care—from regular visits while owners are away to administering diabetic needles and medications with confidence and compassion.
Whether it’s a training program, cozy overnight boarding, daily walks, group yard play, or in-home visits for cats, I bring the same level of professionalism, safety, and love to every pet. For me, this isn’t just work—it’s a lifelong passion.

Daily Group Yard. Play
At Doggy Steps, our Yard Play program is so much more than just letting dogs run around. It is a carefully structured, enriching experience designed to give your dog the perfect balance of exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation in a safe, controlled environment.
Each session includes a full hour of supervised yard play in our secure, private space where dogs are free to run, explore, play, and just be dogs. What makes our program truly special is how intentionally we group dogs. We don’t just throw dogs together. We thoughtfully match each dog based on personality, energy level, play style, and temperament so every pup feels comfortable, confident, and included. Whether your dog is playful and social, a gentle observer, or somewhere in between, we create the right pack dynamic so everyone thrives.
We take the stress off your plate with full door to door service. Your dog is picked up right from your home, safely transported to our yard, enjoys their structured play session, and is then dropped back off happy, exercised, and content. Including pick ups and drop offs, most dogs are out for about an hour and a half, giving them a complete and fulfilling break in their day.
Beyond just physical exercise, Yard Play helps build confidence, improves social skills, reduces anxiety, and supports better behavior at home. Dogs learn how to communicate, respect boundaries, and enjoy positive group experiences, all under experienced supervision.

Doggy Steps Boarding
Travel with peace of mind knowing that your best furry pal is well cared for in a cozy home away from home environment. Your dog will have the luxury of comfy dog beds, couches, soft music and a pet care person your pal trusts and feels comfortable with. They will spend hours a day playing in a big yard with all their dog buddies. Your dog will get creek walks, hikes and lots of adventures. Prior to boarding your dog with us, we recommend at least 3 half day daycare visits. This will help your dog adjust to the new environment. They will be excited knowing they are coming to vacation at a very special place.
Doggy Steps Cat Sitting
No more cages or kennels for your feline friends. The staff of Doggy Steps are the PURRFECT pet sitters for your kitty. Doggy Steps care providers are insured and bonded to come into your home. Your cat will be so relaxed when you're away by being able to stay cozy in Kitty's home. You will receive regular updates, including lots of photos and videos. Travel with peace of mind knowing your fur baby is with a loyal cat lover. Doggy Steps Is a member of Pet Sitters International.
Doggy Steps Dog Walking and Training
At Doggy steps we believe that dog walking and training go hand in hand. A tired pup is a happy pup. When your dog has energy to burn they will get into a lot of mischief. Dog walking is a great way for your dog to burn energy. Socializing your dog is also very important with training your dog. Group dog walks and group plays are the best way to teach your dog socialization skills. Doggy Steps offers a 6-8 week private or group puppy training course. Our certified dog trainer graduated in 2014 from ABC Animal Behavior College! All of our dog walkers, and trainers are insured and bonded, certified in pet first aid and are members of P.S.I.
