I started my company, Doggy Steps in 2006. I've always had a vision of a cozy home away from home for dogs. As my passion for dogs grew, my dream for them also grew. When my clients would go away on vacations, they would drop their dogs off at kennels, if Doggy Steps was booked for pet sitting and we couldn't provide the overnight service for them. It would break my heart knowing my furry pals were likely sleeping in a crate at night, in a strange, dark place. My dream for them was to sleep in a home away from home environment when they couldn't be with their families. I pictured comfy dog beds, couches, soft music, and a pet care person that they had a relationship with, trusted and felt comfortable with. I wanted a big yard for them to run and play with all their buddies. Let's be real here... dogs need to be outside playing as much as possible. My vision grew stronger and bigger. I wanted outdoor puppy training classes. I wanted a real healthy organic dog food that my clients could purchase when they pick up their tired pup. I do not want a big echo industrial gym for dogs. I want a clean cozy home away from home with a big yard. I want creek walks, hikes, adventures and more. I want dogs to be excited when their owners go to work because they know they will be coming to a very special place. I'm excited to announce that with my extreme passion and dedication to animals... My dream has finally come true. Doggy Steps is located in the heart of Streetsville Mississauga. I am extremely honoured and humbled  to share my 17 years of pet knowledge, dog training and my life long passion for animals with all our Doggy Steps Family. 

Instead of leaving your fur baby home alone all day patiently waiting for you to come through the door...Let your dog come run, play with toys and make some furry pals in our large outdoor doggy playground. Dogs are welcome to play in both our indoor or outdoor play areas, as well as rest on our cozy dog beds. Your dog is guaranteed to get lots of attention from our loving staff and furry friends. Doggy Steps will NOT allow aggressive, untrained, or reactive dogs at our place of business. All dogs must be spayed, neutered, and fully vaccinated. All new doggy clients require a free consultation with our certified dog trainer. This will assure your dog is ready for daycare. You can relax at work knowing your dog is getting the proper socialization, care and exercise they require in a day. 

Travel with peace of mind knowing that your best furry pal is well cared for in a cozy home away from home environment. Your dog will have the luxury of comfy dog beds, couches, soft music and a pet care person your pal trusts and feels comfortable with. They will spend hours a day playing in a big yard with all their dog buddies. Your dog will get creek walks, hikes and lots of adventures. Prior to boarding your dog with us, we recommend at least 3 half day daycare visits. This will help your dog adjust to the new environment. They will be excited knowing they are coming to vacation at a very special place.

No more cages or kennels for your feline friends. The staff of Doggy Steps are the PURRFECT  pet sitters for your kitty. Doggy Steps care providers are insured and bonded to come into your home. Your cat will be so relaxed when you're away by being able to stay cozy in Kitty's home. You will receive regular updates, including lots of photos and videos. At Doggy steps we believe that dog walking and training go hand in hand. A tired pup is a happy pup. When your dog has energy to burn they will get into a lot of mischief. Dog walking is a great way for your dog to burn energy. Socializing your dog is also very important with training your dog. Group dog walks and group plays are the best way to teach your dog socialization skills. Doggy Steps offers a 6-8 week private or group puppy training course. Our certified dog trainer graduated in 2014 from ABC Animal Behavior College! All of our dog walkers, and trainers are insured and bonded, certified in pet first aid and are members of P.S.I.
